funded as part of the European Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Immediate program Perspective Inner City
The "Perspective Inner City!" emergency program is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and as "part of the Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic."
The state of Lower Saxony approves the development of projects and concepts for inner city development in more than 200 municipalities and municipal associations as part of the immediate action program "Perspective Inner City!
The emergency program is aimed at municipalities in Lower Saxony that have been significantly affected by the Corona pandemic and have been allocated a reserved budget by the ERDF and ESF managing authority in the emergency program. The aim is to enable new uses and quality of stay in the city center and/or the local core in the basic, middle or upper center, to make contributions to digitization and climate protection and to counteract the risk of increasing desolation of the city centers.
The municipality of Neuenkirchen, as an association of municipalities, together with the town of Visselhövede, applied for the immediate program "Perspektive Innenstadt!" and was accepted into the program.
The following projects are being implemented in Neuenkirchen as part of this program:
Promotion of business-related infrastructure
Expansion of the Robert-Koch-Strasse industrial estate
Sports facilities redevelopment
Natural swimming pool in the Hahnenbach valley
Living centers - preservation and development of village and town centers
Creation of an intergenerational community facility with multifunctional, social use.

Modernization and energetic renovation of the village community center Grauen
Living centers - preservation and development of village and town centers
Upgrading of the outdoor areas at the Schröers-Hof with regard to the development of paths for walkers and the creation of resting places in connection with the water experience area.
