In addition to a primary and secondary school and daycare facilities, the municipality of Neuenkirchen also offers playgrounds for leisure time to let off steam. Here, parents can linger with their children and even have a picnic if the weather is nice, as most of the playgrounds have seating.
At present, Schwalingen and Grauen do not offer any playgrounds. However, a playground is being built in Grauen in direct connection with the renovation of the village community center. The playground in Brochdorf has been dismantled for the time being due to the renovation work on the fire station. The new construction of the playground is planned for summer 2022.
In summer, you can enjoy the outdoor pool "Naturbad im Hahnenbachtal" for a cool down or to learn how to swim. For this purpose, swimming courses are offered every year, which are announced in time, as registration is required. The community of Neuenkirchen subsidizes swimming courses for children from the community area with 40,00 € per swimming course. (see subsidy guideline)
Club sports are also successfully represented in the community, so the TSV Neuenkirchen and SC Tewel offer many opportunities to engage in sports in the club, or simply participate in fitness courses. A look at the homepage and its offers is worthwhile - for everyone who is looking for something sporty. Furthermore, Neuenkirchen offers a soccer field, which is very well received.
